The missing exclamation marks.

I am curious to death

what it feels like if you were still here.

October Comes Before November

with one comment

Holiday travel.

It isn’t easy.

Then why do we do it?

Why cram the trunks and endure the airports?

You know the answer.

We love to be with the ones we love.

What’s Not To Love About Languages?

without comments

From the arrogance of our race, when the unity of men marched into the wrong direction, back then with the false pride symbol of Babel,

languages were first introduced to us.

What a marvelous way of bearing the consequences! Thank YOU!

Half The World Away

with one comment

Once one said that he was just going half the world away.

Just. Only. Oh, really?

Isn’t half the world away the most distant we could get between self and just anybody on this earth?

Singing half the world away.. You’re half the world away.. Half the world away.. I’ve been lost, I’ve been found, but I don’t feel down.

Yeah, I don’t feel down…

The Spectator of Two Dices

without comments

How long have the two dices been on her hands? I’m wondering, she might be wondering, too.

Does she always toss the dices in the air and catch it back and repeat? I’m wondering, I bet she’s wondering, too.

Without notice, she puts the dices on the table, under her palm hand. She then moves the dices across the table. My eyes are following her hands and her dices. To my surprise, there’s another person on the other end of the table. Was he always there? I’m wondering but I think she already knew it.

He takes the dices. He doesn’t toss it in the air like she did. He rolls them instead.

The first two numbers are four and five. The number five comes out again the second time, but accompanied by six. I am about to see what numbers the third time when I realize that she and he do not pay attention at all to the dices.

They look at each other. He doesn’t need to look at the dices to get them and roll them time after time. She doesn’t need to see the numbers, she has it in her mind, or so it seems to me.

Now, I look at both of them in turn, at him when he rolls the dice, at her when the dices goes around the table. At him and then at her.

And so.. I’m no longer the spectator of the dices.

When You Think About The Siren

with one comment

I cannot miss an emergency vehicles with the high-pitched noise coming from their siren. The loud voice of the siren is not a comfort to the ears. Luckily, it’s only for a moment as an emergency vehicle will always have its red carpet road.

Well, it’s not for a moment for the passangers of the emergency vehicle but I don’t think that’s a problem. Once you are inside the emergency vehicle, you will become deaf and blind to most things, the siren is just… em… nothing. Your mind, heart, and breath will focus on mainly one thing, no, on one person, on who lies inside the emergency vehicle.

Pretty much like being in the eye of a storm, I guess.

Details in The Fabric

with one comment

[Yeah… Another song from Mr. AZ, mind you I butcher the song here]

All the details in the fabric? Are the things that make you panic? Are your thoughts results of static cling? Are the things that make you blow? Hell, no reason, go on and scream If you’re shocked, it’s just the fault of faulty manufacturing

Everything will be fine Everything in no time at all Everything……

Hold your own Know your name Go your own way

If it’s a broken part, replace it If it’s a broken arm then brace it If it’s a broken heart then face it

And hold your own Know your name And go your own way

And everything will be fine Hang on Help is on the way And stay strong I’m doing everything

Everything it will be fine…. Everything in no time at all…. Hearts will hold.

Put A Thought to Your Snack Box

without comments

Food could be a part of an event or occasion. The type and quantity of food served depends on the occasion itself. In Indonesia, for some events, the food is served in a box. It could be a meal or just snack but the box is for the convenient purpose. People just take away the food and no heavy cleaning is necessary.

The snack box I get today makes me promise myself this: if I were ever put in charge to provide snack box for an event, I would not choose 4 type of only sweet snacks. I’d mix them thoughtfully, the sweet and salty type.

This is the last post for today, November 1st, the last of the food trilogy today. Welcome, November!
